  •  Sheriff's Office Special Operations

    TSU | WSU | WLR | BCI

    Within Blaine County Sheriff’s Office, there are a multitude of subdivisions that fall under the Office of Special Operations. There are a total of four subdivisions within the department. Deputies must utilize proper subdivisions while on scene. However, members can only be a part of two subdivisions. External subdivisions within Bayside Roleplay that include R&T, ASU, and SRU, do not count against your division limit.

  • Warrant Services Unit


    The Blaine County Sheriff’s Office Warrant Services has many certifications and opportunities to offer to the members of the department. You have the ability and opportunity to earn all 3 certifications we offer within the subdivision. In this subdivision, we offer hostage negotiations, a part-time tactical unit, and a K9 Handler. At the rank of WSU II you have the choice of these certifications. Along with certifications, we can handle Warrants against criminals such as warrants.

  • Traffic Services Unit


    Deputies within the Traffic Services Unit specialize in traffic-related matters, whether it be law enforcement, traffic control, accident investigation, or something of related matter. Additional focuses include law enforcement air support within the Blaine County Airspace, Commercial Vehicle Enforcement (CVE) on county roadways, crash investigation and reconstruction, and tow services for disabled vehicles or vehicles collected as evidence following a crime.

    BCSO Admin

    Sheriff

    The Sheriff oversees all operations of the department and has the final say on all decisions. The Sheriff commonly meets with all supervisors and receives input for making the department thrive and move forward.

    BCSO Junior Admins

    Undersheriff

    The Undersheriff keeps the sheriff informed of all operational activities on a day-to-day basis. The Undersheriff directs the activities of either the administrative or operational side of the department. They oversee the command staff operations and help the chief and other command staff members in decision-making.

    Chief Deputy & Major

    The Chief Deputy & Major are the lowest part of the BCSO administration team who make final decisions and aid each other in making those decisions. They have the same essential duties as the captain and help them with any inquiries hey may have at their rank.

    BCSO Senior Staff

    Captain

    Captains are the highest-ranking who are not holding administrative positions. They act as watch commanders. They report to the command staff about the progress of all supervisors, subdivisions, patrol units, department policy, and more. They handle most things brought to them by Lieutenants unless they deem it necessary to work up the CoC. They may also act as an ambassador to other departments for small topics

    Lieutenant

    The primary responsibility for a Lieutenant is to hold the positions with the ability to assist Transfer Requests. This includes the transfer handling the Reserve Deputies within BCSO. The sheriff Lieutenant has oversight of all supervisors and is to report the actions and progress of each member to ensure effective operations.

    BCSO Sergeants

    The positions from Sergeant-Master Sergeant are within the staff rank. The primary duties of a Sheriff Sergeant are to assist in mentorship and guidance to Sheriff SR. Corporals and Sheriff Corporals, and the entirety of the department. The Sheriff Sergeants are also charged with recommendations with the hiring of Chain of Command members into corporal positions and further advancements of such officers. The Sheriff Sergeants are responsible for ensuring Sheriff Corporals are conducting their duties and assisting them in areas they see necessary.

    BCSO Staff In-Training

    Corporals are supervisors in training. Sergeants coach them on supervising techniques and disciplinary action. They help make decisions for the department to benefit as much as possible. Corporal is commonly a sub-division leader rank.
